i always wondered what would happen if i hit a dog, now i know.thank you for your story enlightening everyone.
Once when living in Corpus Christi texas i crashed on a patch of ice.believe it or not.the weather called for a massive cold front named the siberian express to hit around 5 pm or so.i figured to have a few drinks before i rode home after work.I naturally lost track of the time and it was well after dark before i realized what time it was.i started for home but a few blocks down the road with my hands about froze i remembered my gloves.I pulled into a food city parking lot to put them on and hit a patch of ice that had formed from the pavement sweating as the temperature fell through the dew point.as the bike went out from under me i hit the kill switch and put my left foot down to let it slide from under me.i went slding on my hands and knees on that ice past two teen age couples who were laughing at the spectacle i made sliding past them.i was so shook up that i about ran the battery down before i remembered about the kill switch being off.
the bike only got a few scratches on the right handle bar grip.i didn't get any damage to me at all because of sliding and stopping on ice.
